This scholarship is available to women around the world who are interested in earning the CFA® charter and who do not qualify for other CFA Institute scholarships. Women working in the investment management industry are encouraged to apply.

ECU University Scholarships

ECU: Equity Scholarship

The ECU Equity Scholarships are intended to assist future and current undergraduate students from designated equity groups, with the costs associated with University study. Applications are sought from students from low socio-economic backgrounds, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander's, people with a disability or ongoing illness, people with significant caring responsibilities and those from rural or regional area of Australia. The scholarship offers payments of $1,500 per semester (pro rata for part time study), for a total of $3,000 per year for the normal duration of your course.

ECU: The Alexander Scholarship In Bachelor Of Commerce

The Alexander Scholarship, generously donated by the Omari Family, is awarded to a student enrolled in their final 2 years in the Bachelor of Commerce who shows a passion for business studies and can demonstrate resilience in light of experiencing adversity or financial hardship. The Scholarship will provide a one-off payment of up to $3000 to support the student to progress through their studies.

Curtin: Capstone Editing Early-Career Academic Research Grant For Women

The Capstone Editing Early-Career Academic Research Grant for Women scholarship can be used to cover any costs related to the research project, such as conducting a field trip; purchasing books, software or equipment; hiring a translator; travel to learn new techniques in a lab interstate or overseas; small lab equipment; key reagents to complete a project; performing surveys or interviews; and academic editing, such as for journal articles, manuscripts and conference papers. The grant can also be used to cover expenses that most university funding does not cover, such as those related to the need of academic women to secure paid child care to assist them to meet their work responsibilities.

Curtin: Capstone Editing Mid-Career Academic Research Grant For Women

The Capstone Editing Mid-Career Academic Research Grant for Women scholarship is to assist mid-career researchers that suffer from job instability and insecurity. According to the National Tertiary Education Union, only one-third of employees in higher education have ongoing employment. The competitive nature of securing grants, combined with procuring contracts (that are often only short term), means many mid-career researchers navigate extended periods of uncertainty about their employment. This scholarship aims to assist a woman researcher fund her academic journey.
